| Patience is Gilbert & Sullivan's lampoon of the Pre-Raphaelites and the aesthetic movement championed by Oscar Wilde. For the women's costumes, we took details from Aubrey Beardsley's drawings, blew them up and painted them with magic markers. They were described by a reviewer as "vaguely Grecian, outrageously tasteless, aesthetic chic." Just what we intended! | ![]() |
